Day 12 - Daughter Back to Life
“.
. . a synagogue official came and bowed down before Him, and said,
“My daughter has just died; but come and lay Your hand on her, and
she will live.” Jesus got up and began to follow him, and so did His disciples. . . . When Jesus came into the official’s house, and saw the
flute-players and the crowd in noisy disorder, He said, “Leave; for the girl has not died, but is asleep.” And
they began laughing at Him. But when the crowd had been sent out, He entered and took her by the
hand, and the girl got up. This news spread throughout all that land.“ -Matthew 9:18b-19, 23-26 NASB
She had already died, but it did not change the official’s faith or action. I wonder if those people who laughed would have laughed if they’d understood that they were in the presence of God? Nothing is too hard for our God! Hallelujah! I wonder how many times a messenger of God or God incognito has been in my presence and I’ve acted horribly. This saddens me, because I am sure it has happened.
Today look for God in the people you meet, in the acts of the people you meet, and in God’s creation. Write down your findings. If nothing, then show love to one other person today or tomorrow or the day after, etc.
