Thirty-one Days of Healing
Saturday, June 20, 2026 Matthew 8:16-17 NASB
Day 8 - All Healed
When
evening came, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed; and
He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were ill. This was to fulfill what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet: ‘He Himself took our infirmities and carried away our disease.”

Jesus cast out the spirits with a word. Jesus healed all who were ill. Notice Jesus didn’t dally about when dealing with the spirits. He didn’t heal some of the people. He healed all of the people who were ill. If that is not encouragement for us to be healed, I don’t know what is. I really love the imagery in the last line above, “He Himself took our infirmities and carried away our diseases.” I like envisioning my illness as some ugly thing being carried away from me by Jesus.
Practice picturing that very thing in your mind as you thank Jesus for being with you in your illness, taking it, and carrying it away.
