Your word is what?
"Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path." - Psalm 119:105 NIV
Psalm 119:105 has always been one of favorite verses of the Bible. I love it so much that I had it tattooed on my foot. For some, it might be confusing. Your word is a lamp to my feet....what? And a light to my path...huh?
To me, these words are so encouraging. For our Lord to say that He is the light that guides our every step is so comforting to me. Whenever I think of this verse, it makes me want to read more of God's word and to follow Jesus even more closely.
God wants to guide and direct our steps in the way He wants us to go. He promises to walk beside us in all the good times and in the bad. He is our guiding light!
I pray that as we head into spring, you will read Psalm 119 in its entirety and think about how righteous, unchanging, and faithful our Lord truly is.
